Abstract

The article outlines the existing problems in the method of teaching translation and interpretation that teachers and students face, introduces outstanding views of linguists and translators in Russia on the method of teaching translation and interpretation, analyzes the features of the individual approach to teaching translation and interpretation. For illustration, the author presents the curriculum of the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages ​​and Media Communication of Irkutsk State University. Taking into account the peculiarities of teaching translation and interpretation in Russia, the author offers recommendations for the process of teaching translation and interpretation in Vietnam in general and for teaching translation at the Faculty of Russian Language and Culture of the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in particular.
