Abstract: The paper presents the concepts of competency and competency-based assessment. The reality of students’ awareness on high school students’ achieved competencies in the high school education program (2018) and skills of designing muptiple-choice questions on competency-based assessment are analyzed. From there, the measures to train skills of designing multiple-choice questions for students on the competency-based assessment approach are suggested.
