Abstract

The research process of combined treatment of electroplating wastewater
and domestic wastewater by Anoxic/Oxic (A/O) technology at Organic loading
rate (OLR) 0.3; 0.4; 0.6kg COD/m3.day to search the highly effective method that
can be applied for treatment of electroplating wastewater. The experimental
results indicate that OLR 0,6 kg COD/m3.day achieve a high removal efficiency
(72.5% COD; 87.2% N-NH4+; 55.2% Zn) and are lower than type B levels of the
Vietnamese technique standard QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT, the treatabe Zinc
concentration is 23.6mg/L. The result is essential to apply in electroplating
wastewater treatment.
