Abstract

Reading foreign literature is one of the competencies that students of literary pedagogy need to be formed and developed. This article studies the theory and practice of reading comprehension of foreign literature by students of the Faculty of Vietnamese Literature and Linguistics Teacher Education, Dong Thap University. Then, it proposes some strategies to develop this capacity for those students, in order to help them achieve the output of the training program, meeting requirements of higher education and general education innovation.
