Author Guidelines

The JHS is the Vietnam specific journal, forum of the Vietnam historians. Within high requests for authors, researchers, our Journal's articles as brought into the public that are always demanded academic issues. We welcome one of the three approaches on historical issues: Firstly, this problem bases on the new documents. Second, without above mentioned one and based on the old documents, the authors have to manifest the new approaches such as: inter-disciplinary, multi-disciplary or trans-disciplinary approaches... Third, without the above ways, they are requested as the new methods likely "area studies"... The JHS asks the conditions of sending the papers to Journal that have to conform to some demands: - This paper is the first, not yet published on any Journal - If not yet getting the using relies by the JHS, this paper do not offers to any Journal, the Journal do not generally publish again that published paper. - Within special cases, we can again publish but after reaching the acceptability by the Editorial council.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Copyright Notice

After publishing the articles, the JHS generally owns the copyright. Special cases, JHS and author together own copyright.
