Abstract

This article addresses the issues facing history education through the lens of the Spring 1975 Great Victory and, more broadly, the legacy of the Vietnamese resistance war against the United States (1954–1975). In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is exerting multidimensional impacts on all countries, history teaching at all educational levels is facing both significant opportunities and considerable
challenges. The paper aims to clarify key issues in the teaching of history in general - and specifically regarding the resistance war against the U.S. - with a focus on leveraging the strengths of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the teaching and learning process. Ultimately, the goal is to help learners recognize the value of studying history as part of their preparation for life and as a means to develop critical awareness of national heritage, identity, and responsibility.
