The Anti-Tax Movement in Ha Tinh in 1908
Abstract
The anti-tax movement in Annam (Central Vietnam) in 1908 was one of the most famous patriotic movements against the French colonialist in the early twentieth-century Vietnam. The movement took place in many places and in various forms which were often regarded as "unprecedented" in Vietnamese history. The final period, when the movement eventually spread into Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Thanh Hoa, nevertheless, remain unstudied. This article therefore aims to provide an insightful study of this movement.Downloads
