Abstract

This paper presents model predictive control algorithm for 3-phase 3-level T-type active rectifier to control DC output voltage, balance capacitor voltages, and reduce execution time. Based on the topology and operating principle of the circuit, a mathematical model of the system is introduced. Next, an improved predictive control method based on a strategy of pre[1]selection of candidate voltage vectors for the next prediction is presented. Evaluation based on simulation results by Matlab software has proven the effectiveness of the method.
