Abstract

This paper presents a method to design and control the ball and beam system. This is a typical unstable nonlinear system commonly used in engineering school laboratories to test automatic control theories. In this paper, an adaptive sliding neuron controller is proposed to recognize the parameters of the research object model and correct the object control signal according to the desired value. The simulation results show that the proposed control system is capable of fast response, good balance, to meet the control criteria when the model parameters change.
