Manuscript Process

The Journal of Information and Documentation does not accept articles already published in other publications. Article length should not exceed 5000 words. Research papers and discussions must include a Vietnamese abstract (no more than 120 words). If it is a translation or abridged translation, the original document must be submitted to assist in editing and proofreading.

Reference list: Only references that have been cited in the original text should be included in the reference list. References in the list are grouped together regardless of language and numbered alphabetically according to the first author's full name. If a reference does not have an author's name, it is numbered alphabetically by title. If there are multiple references by the same author, they are numbered chronologically. If the author has multiple references in the same year, add the letters a, b, c... to the end of the year number for differentiation (e.g., 2015a, 2015b, 2015c,...). References are described using the following format:

* For journal articles: Author's full name,… (year of publication). Title of the article. Journal name, volume, issue, first page - last page.

* For books and monographs: Author's full name,… (year of publication). Title of the monograph. Place of publication: publisher. Number of pages.

* For electronic documents from the Internet or databases: Author's full name, ... (year of publication). Title of the article. Journal name, volume, issue, first page - last page. DOI:XX.XXXXX or Access from http://....(Source URL) on .......

Cite references in the main text using the model: [Author, Publication Year]. If citing multiple references for the same content, separate the citations with semicolons ([Author 1, Publication Year; Author 2, Publication Year; ....]). If using the author's name of the cited document as part of the sentence: write the author(s) and publication year in parentheses. For example: “According to Nguyen Van A (2015),.....”; “Smith J (2015) argues that...... If a cited document has more than two authors, only the first author's name should be cited followed by “and collaborators” for Vietnamese documents or “et al” for foreign language documents. For example: [Nguyen Huu Hung et al, 2005]; [Bowker G.C et al, 2010].
The Journal of Information and Documentation does not charge fees for the process of receiving, processing, editing, and publishing articles.
