Abstract
Peace is the everlasting aspiration of humankind, a symbol of serenity, the cornerstone for all other values of life, and the guarantee of equality and freedom for every individual. "Peace" is the first value in the National Value System affirmed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Culture Conference on November 24, 2021.
The increasing school violence due to students' insufficient conflict resolution skills has created an unsafe school environment, negatively impacting personality formation and development. Although the 2018 General Education Program has identified 5 key qualities to be formed and developed in students, with peace education playing an important role, the content of peace value education has not been sufficiently emphasized.
This study aims to propose measures for PVE for high school students in the current context, helping schools and teachers proactively integrate education suitable for each subject and student group, and overcome difficulties and obstacles in organizing educational activities. On that basis, the study proposes comprehensive and detailed solutions to ensure effective implementation, thereby contributing to the development of a safe and friendly educational environment; at the same time fostering and enhancing learners’ qualities and competencies, in alignment with the reform requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.
