About the Journal

1. Introduction

The Hong Bang International University Journal of Science (HIUJS) is published by Hong Bang International University under the print press license No. 429/GP-BTTTT dated August 23, 2022. The journal has also been granted the international standard serial number ISSN 2615-9686 by the National Agency for Science and Technology Information, under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam.

The Hong Bang International University Journal of Science is included in the list of journals recognized for academic scoring by the State Council for Professorship (HĐGSNN):

  • Economics: 0.5 point

  • Pharmacy: 0.5 point

  • Medicine: 0.25 point

The journal publishes scientific issues under a Fully Open Access model, with a frequency of 8 issues per year. Specifically:

  • Vietnamese issues are published in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

  • English issues are published in June and December.

2. Aims and Scope

  • Introducing scientific achievements, innovations, teaching experiences, and research activities of the University, as well as those from Vietnam and the international academic community.

  • Publishing research results, scientific research projects, and technological applications both domestically and internationally.

  • Disseminating experiences in the management and organization of scientific and technological activities among administrators, lecturers, and students both within and outside the University.

3. Mission

To contribute knowledge to the development of science and technology while meeting global standards in multidisciplinary education. The journal publishes scientific research findings and strengthens the connection between scientific research and practical applications, thereby contributing to improving the quality of education and training and meeting the requirements of international integration.

4. Target Audience

Scientists, researchers, administrators, lecturers, doctoral candidates, graduate students, undergraduate students of Hong Bang International University, and other interested readers.

5. Plagiarism Policy

The content similarity of submitted manuscripts must not exceed 30% compared with previously published works, including the authors’ own publications.

In cases where plagiarism is detected, the journal reserves the right to request clarification, require revision, or reject the manuscript. The following behaviors are considered plagiarism:

  • Including text passages, data, images, or other information from other sources without proper citation.

  • Providing citations but not complying with the citation regulations of the HIU Journal of Science.

  • Translating partially or entirely a document from Vietnamese into English or vice versa without citing the original source.

  • Copying an entire research work or article from another author.

  • Any other actions that violate current laws and regulations regarding copyright and intellectual property rights.

6. Publication Ethics

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a fundamental component in the development of a reliable and comprehensive knowledge network. It directly reflects the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions supporting them.

All submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a rigorous and scientific peer-review process. Therefore, it is essential to establish and maintain ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the scholarly community associated with society-owned or sponsored journals.

7. Confidentiality Statement

Any personal information entered by users into forms on the HIUJS Online Publishing Management System will be used solely for purposes related to the journal's publishing activities. Such information will not be shared with any third party or used for any other purposes.

8. Peer Review and Evaluation Process

Manuscripts that fall within the journal's scope and comply with the submission guidelines will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

The responsible editorial board member will make a recommendation before the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision.
