Shadowing is one of the old techniques used in foreign language teaching and learning, its effectiveness has been proved in a lot of educational studies and it is still very popular among educators. As a result, more and more teachers have been trying to introduce this technique to their colleagues and their leaners, as well as train them how to use it properly. This article presents the aspects related to Shadowing technique, including its definitions, its differences compared with other similar techniques, its benefits and the procedure to make it work. The author also mentioned the fact of applying this technique in a class at Hoa Lu University.
