As the world becomes globalized, the ability to communicate in a second language, especially English, becomes essential. Learners and teachers have experimented with various pedagogical approaches to improve this language skill. People with poor speaking skills often feel shy and lack fluency and precision in their conversations. Researchers from around the world have tried to apply the most effective methods to assist learners in improving their second language skills. Therefore, the learning method that includes listening to sounds and seeing images is definitely the best choice because it brings many benefits to both learners and teachers. The purpose of this study is to describe the multiple effects of audiovisual activities in the teaching and learning of English as a second language.
